First-Generation Student Success Hosts Urban Male Institute
°Õ³ó±ðÌý within Â鶹ŮÀÉ’s  recently hosted a free, two-day institute at Â鶹ŮÀÉ's College of Business for faculty, staff and students.Ìý
The event was an opportunity for urban male students to gain insights from industry leaders and forge network connections. Participants engaged in thought-provoking dialogues and presentations on self-awareness, involvement and leadership.Ìý
"The institute was designed to accelerate a positive change, reframe the thinking process, and infiltrate the lives of urban males," said Ron Oliver, director of Â鶹ŮÀÉ’s First-Generation Student Success. “Participants left the event with the tools they need to become actively engaged with their own success.â€
The Urban Male Initiative is designed to help students better navigate their college experience and build their connection to the university community.Ìý
